The key variables are: the specific card (set, card number, variant), whether it is raw or graded, the condition/grade, and the edition (1st Edition, Unlimited, reverse holo). A raw Base Set Charizard in played condition might sell for $80-150, while a PSA 10 1st Edition Base Set Charizard sold for $420,000 at auction.
For modern cards (2020+), the most valuable are typically: illustration rare/alt art cards, special art rare (SAR) cards, gold cards from premium sets, and full art trainer cards.
